I realize that other people’s opinion of me is none of my business, but whew, that 2016 Kirkus review of my first stab at romance writing still feels good.

I'm a rolling stone, a lover of the outdoors, and a hack photographer who loves writing and consuming romance novels at a voracious clip. I cut my teeth on my mom’s glitzy Danielle Steele and Jackie Collins novels when I was a teenager and I never looked back.

My own love story inspires my writing daily, even after twenty-five years married to this hot guy in the photo on the left. We met in 1995, when I worked as a sports reporter and he was was a young third baseman for the Cleveland Indians and the spark was instantaneous. He’s a Hall of Fame Husband and father and he makes me laugh almost every day. He sometimes forgets to take the trash out, but I try not to hold that against him. He’s lucky he’s cute.

We have a daughter and a son whom we deeply admire as human beings, and two rescue cats who want for nothing. I love the life we’ve built together. I want my characters to have the same kind of longevity we’ve enjoyed, and I keep that front of mind as I’m drafting their stories.

2024 is a year of new beginnings in terms of my writing. I truly can’t wait to share my new book. A special thank you to anyone who read and resonated with my Hesse Creek Series. I hope you’ll be even more connected to my new trilogy, set in a fictional town in western Montana. I’m ready to whisk you away again.
